Limited Liability Terms & Conditions
1. To initiate a claim, the Customer must notify the Carrier:
a) In the event of Damage to Goods – Photographic evidence of packaging and damage must be provided by the receiving customer either to the sending customer or sending / receiving depot provided within 24 hours of the Goods being delivered. Supporting documentation must also be provided showing that the notification was given within 24 hours (e.g. a copy of an email or a message with a time stamp). A formal claim must be received in writing within 7 business days of delivery of the Goods; or
b) In the event of Loss of Goods – within 30 business days from the date the Goods were picked up by the Carrier. The Carrier has the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time including, but not limited to, extending the timeframe before a parcel is deemed lost due extenuating circumstances such as lockdowns, restrictions or events outside of the Carrier’s control.
c) All information reasonably requested by the Carrier, or its third party claims administrator, in relation to the claim must be provided in writing within 14 business days of the request being made.
2. If an Authority to Leave is provided on a consignment, whether it is a standing Authority to Leave or not, then the Customer waives their rights to lodge a claim in the event that Goods are deemed lost provided the Carrier can substantiate that the Goods were delivered by providing either photographic evidence or GPS tracking.
3. The Claims Administrator also has the sole discretion and right to offset any claim amount against unpaid or outstanding monies owed to the Carrier.
4. Claims are limited to loss or damage to Goods only. For the avoidance of doubt, any consequential loss or additional damage suffered by the Customer as a result of loss or damage to Goods, irrespective of the reason, will not be covered and cannot form part of any claim.
5. Documentary evidence to support the value of the Goods must be provided by the Customer by either:
a) Receipt of purchase; or
b) Sufficient proof of actual manufacturing cost.
1. If sufficient proof of actual manufacturing cost cannot be provided, the associated sales invoice, the value of which a maximum of 35% will be paid to the Customer.
c) Any claim for damaged Goods can only be initiated once the Carrier has possession of those Goods. Failure to provide the damaged Goods to the Carrier will waive the Customer’s right to initiate a claim.
d) The Customer may only lodge a claim if it can be ascertained by accredited scanning that the Goods were lost or damaged in the direct care, custody and control of the Carrier and/or its Agents.
Excluded Cargo Types
This policy excludes loss, damage, destruction, cost or expense of any nature directly or indirectly caused by, contributed to by, resulting from, arising out of or in connection with any of the following, regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss.In no case shall this insurance cover loss, damage, liability or expense directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from:

Currency
Jewellery, gemstones, precious metal & rare metals and collectables
Flat pack furniture
Negotiable instruments
Antiques
Electronic goods not limited to laptops, computers, servers, Digital storage or memory, mobile phone, Battery operated or plug in operated
A work of art, artwork, art piece, piece of art which may be used of any work regarded as art in its widest sense, including works from literature and music, these terms apply principally to tangible, portable forms of visual art
Drugs
Weapons
Explosives, nuclear cargo and commercial bulk consignments of dangerous goods
Living animals or plants, refrigerated or perishable goods
Household items
Personal effects
Second hand goods
Cigarettes & tobacco products
Valuable documents
Printed material or packaging
Glass or glass products
Enamel or enamel products
Man-made stone
Items deemed to be manually handled by a carrier
Items that are 30kgs and over and are not placed on a skid or pallet
Items over 2M in length width or height and not on a skid or pallet
Pallets, crates, boxes, bags etc. that contain the insured items
Any item where the insurance holder cannot prove the cost of the insured item

Items that are protruding from the packaging they are shipped in
Poorly packed items
Items that are 30kgs and over and are not placed on a skid or pallet
Items over 2M in length width or height and not on a skid or pallet
Pallets, crates, boxes, bags etc. that contain the insured items
Additional Policy Clauses
Art Work Clause
Cover in respect of Artwork shall be subject to the following terms, conditions, warranties, limitations, exceptions and exclusions:
1. It is a condition of the Policy that Artwork is:
a) Professionally packed by a suitable and reputable independent third party, and that such third-party packers compile a detailed inventory of all items, inspect all items upon packing and provide a report detailing any existing damage such as (but without prejudice to the generality of this clause) chips, dents, scratches, damage to paint work, rust, oxidisation and discolouration.
b) Carried by air or by land in a fully enclosed cargo space, or by water in a Closed Container.
c) Supported by a recent and recognised valuation certificate.
2. In no case shall the Policy cover any reduction in value or depreciation as a result of damage to Artwork.
Second-hand Interests Clause
In respect of Second-hand Interests, in no case shall the Policy cover claims for or loss damage or expense reasonably attributable to ordinary wear tear and/or gradual deterioration such as (but without prejudice to the generality of this clause) damage to paint work, chipping, denting, scratching, marring, bruising, rust, oxidization or discolouration.
The burden of proof that any such damage was not pre-existing damage and that it arose from the operation of an insured peril during the currency of the Policy shall rest with the Assured. Unless more specifically provided for elsewhere in the Policy, the maximum amount recoverable under the Policy in respect of Second-hand Interests shall be the lesser of, the insured value declared by the Assured, or the original purchase price, or the replacement cost of a like item, plus the cost of insurance and freight plus duty where incurred.

Africa: Algeria, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Cote D’voire (Ivory Coast), Kenya, Madagascar, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan and Zimbabwe
Caribbean: Cuba
Eastern Europe: Belarus, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan
East Asia: North Korea
South Asia: Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan
South Asia: Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan
Southeast Asia: Burma (Mayanmar)
Western Asia: Iraq, Lebanon*, Liberia, Syria and Yemen
