DHL Express (Australia) Pty Ltd issued a notice dated 18 October 2026 outlining restrictions on shipments destined for Ukraine. The 30 kg restriction should be checked against DHL’s current Ukraine service notice before booking, including whether it applies per shipment or per piece.Â
Important: A shipment of 30 kg or more is not accepted. If it is collected, DHL Express returns it to origin.

Goods leaving Australia must follow the ABF export requirements and the Australian Government’s exporting guidance. DHL Express carries restricted items only by agreement and refuses prohibited items outright.
Security conditions in Ukraine have continued to deteriorate, according to DHL Express. This is affecting its operational facilities and the safe handling of shipments.
Larger, non-document shipments need more complex customs clearance and storage, which DHL Express says increases its exposure and risk.
