Retailers have a compressed peak-season window from Click Frenzy’s Main Event in late October through Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the Christmas period.
These holiday shopping events create opportunities for retailers, but they also put pressure on stock availability, dispatch schedules and carrier capacity. Five major events run in sequence from late October to Boxing Day, with each attracting a different mix of shoppers and product demand. The Australian Bureau of Statistics recorded $39.1 billion in retail turnover in November 2025, up 7.0% year on year. Singles’ Day is a Chinese online shopping event held on 11 November each year. Australian retailers, including Adidas, also run local 11.11 promotions. Only 20% of Australians were aware of the event in 2023, according to Boston Consulting Group figures reported by Mi3. The event offers retailers another opportunity to reach online shoppers before Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Black Friday opens the peak shopping weekend, followed by Small Business Saturday, which promotes shopping with independent local retailers. It is recognised by TechRadar as one of Australia’s major annual sale events.
